Foundations of Practice
My background in both fine art and design combines a lifelong affinity for observational drawing, typically landscapes or figurative subjects in context. My work is informed by an appreciation for the monumental spaces, landmark vistas, and historic milestones common to our local culture.
This appreciation has fueled my interest in documenting the chronology of events, both personal and universal. Many pieces are based upon specific occurrences or significant locations experienced firsthand and frequently shared with family, friends, and colleagues.
